“The Thing is just a lot of fun. It's got such a simple premise—who can you trust?—but it taps into the fear of paranoia and not knowing who the thing is. The creature designs by Rob Bottin are some of the best in any movie, and the head spider sequence is one of the greatest scares ever made.”
