He's got Nicholas Roeg as cinematographer, so his visual scheme was able to explode — it doesn't look cheap, it's not as set-bound as the rest of them. And Vincent Price is playing much more sinister and realistic than in the others. It's Price's sadism that's horrifying — not the sets, just the fact that he's such a sadistic ruler.”
